Transitioning to the GRI Standards 2021

In October 2021, the revised GRI Universal Standards 2021 were launched, to improve the quality and consistency of sustainability reporting as well as how organizations use the Standards to disclose their impact. The Transition course provides an overview of the recent updates to the GRI Standards, including the revision of the Universal Standards series, and the release of the first GRI Sector Standard for oil and gas. The course explains why the revisions to the Universal Standards took place and how the revision process was concluded. It also describes what learners can expect to find in the new Universal Standards, and explores how these changes were carried through to the GRI Topic Standards. The course also briefly introduces the new GRI Sector Standard for oil and gas, GRI 11: Oil and Gas Sector 2021.
